Operationalizing GCF Regional Presence: Technical Sessions for NDAs

This technical session introduces National Designated Authorities (NDAs) to the Green Climate Fund’s proposal to operationalize regional presence, submitted for Board consideration at B.44. The sessions explained how Board mandates have been translated into an evidence-based package covering host country assessments, configuration scenarios, and an implementation approach.

Participant gained a clear overview of the proposed regional office and outpost model, the principles guiding location selection, and the respective roles of headquarters, regional offices, and outposts. The session also highlighted key implementation milestones and indicative budget considerations, supporting informed engagement with upcoming Board decisions on GCF’s regional presence.
